WHERE DID THE YEAR GO?
My last entry talked about fall. Well, winter is here--BRRRRRR The weather is like it usually is in Jan. Nights in the single digets. Thanksgiving has come and gone. We had a wonderful time together. We always miss not having Jan and family but understand why it has to be that way. I took my camara to Kari's but it was always left behind. You will have to go to Kari's blog to see pictures. Sharel came up to take her EMT test and Sharmons family and Kari's have been up a couple of times. I am always so homesick for them after they leave. We are going to Shane and Tonyas for Christmas, thanks kids. Kari and Brady came up to take Dad and I to the Forgotten Carols for my birthday. It was even better than I thought it would be. WE LOVED IT. I wish you all could see it! I think it could become a new Christmas tradition. Thanks kids. Brady stayed home and tended the boys, chopped wood, built a fire and cleaned the driveway so Kari could take us. It was great. They had a white knuckle drive home through the canyon that was not a bit fun. The shopping for family is done andfor the most part delivered. I am going to help Tonya with some families that need Christmas so there is a bit more shopping to do. If anyone wants to help I'm sure it would be appreciated. There are 14 kids in the 3 families. Got to run. Bye for now

FALL IS GREAT
I seems we all love summer but after the fall harvest, (which we are very grateful for), we are ready for winter. We've had a beautiful indian summer. We have bottled and bottled tomatoes, salsa and relish. Paul and Sharmon's family came and picked the pear tree. Wow, what a harvest. It took all morning to pick all the pears and the few peaches. It was so good to have them come and stay over night. We went down to Sharmon's and Kari's this past weekend. It was so relaxing and fun. We watched Sharel cheer Friday night and Nate play football on Sat. We also got to watch both sets of grandkids Primary programs. Dave and I were talking about how none of the old grandpas went to sleep in the meetings. They were all craning their necks to see their grandkids. I had to put on the pictures of the baby goats in the "Goat Mobile" Garrison is the power source because, I was told, he can't steer as good as Ethan. Dave put up some of the can shelves he didn't get to do last time we went down. Thanks everyone we had a great time.

Ed Fraughtons open house

Ann called and invited us to Ed's open house so we could see the second phase of his 3 block wagon train monument before it was shiped out to Neb. It is 1 1/2 times life size. He is amazing. His son Ted told us this second phase has taken 4 years. I was impressed also because although there were many people there and someone was ready to take his picture with Arnold Frieburg and an other artist i didn't recognize, when we waved good bye Ed excused himself for a moment and came to give me a hug, shake Daves hand and say good bye and thank us for coming. Thats the kind of man he is. He rubs shoulders with some very important and well known people but he is so down to earth. We had stopped in to visit a couple of times during the past few years and went to his first open house It was neat to see the different steps to the completed works.
