We made smores around the camp fire.

Kari came to camp out in the back yard with the little kids. She is either very brave or crazy. Zach was a good sport and helped her. From left to right, Ethan, Garrison, Madison and Zach.

So much fun has happened this summer! We celebrated Maddies b-day while they were up on Fathers Day. Kari and boys came over night because Brady was gone with his scouts. We all went to the South Jordan Country Fest. The kids had a great time. They had safety helmets for $10 a great buy. Tonya and Kari bought the kids each one.

Maddie got in the way of a swinging remote control and ended up with this shinner. Tonya had a calendar made for Shane's gift that had this picture and his under it with this saying, " My personal injury attorney got me, ten pounds of ice, a cherry red popcycle, sun glasses and a safety helmet. See what he can do for you. Clifford Law, with you every step of the way." We had a great visit with them over Fathers Day.

RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY

I FEEL LIKE WE LIVE IN NEW ENGLAND! IT HAS RAINED EVERY AFTERNOON (OR MORE) FOR 2 WEEKS. AS DESERT DWELLERS WE SHOULDN'T COMPLAIN WE KNOW WATER IS A BLERSSING. GAREN PLANTS ALREADY UP ARE DOING GREAT AS IS THE SMALL PATCH OF NEW LAWN BUT SEEDS ARE ROTTING IN THE GROUND. EVEN SOME OF THE TOMATOES LOOK A LITTLE YELLOW LIKE THEY ARE BEING WATER LOGGED. DAVE IS FEELING SORRY FOR OUR CHICKS BECAUSE IT IS QUITE CHILLY OUT THERE TONIGHT. I FORGOT TO TELL YOU WE HAVE 6 CHICKS AND A NEW CHICKEN PEN. THE CHICKS ARE A MONTH OLD AND FEATHERED OUT SO THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO KEEP WARN. I'M SORRY I HAVEN'T ANY PICTURES YET I'LL POST THEM WHEN IT DRIES UP ENOUGH TO GO OUT.:) KARI WAS UP LOOKING FOR CLOGGING SHOES LAST WEEK AND THE BOYS LOVED RUNNING INTO THE COOP THAT HAD A FLOOR COVERED WITH CHICKEN POOP AND HOLDING A CHICKEN. I TOLD THEM THEY COULD EACH NAME ONE AS MADDIE , JOSIE AND CASSIDY WILL WANT TO NAME ONE. ETHAN NAMED THE LARGEST GOOPY. GARRISON NAMED THE LITTLEST---ARE YOU READY FOR THIS? GUESS--- YOUR RIGHT--CHICKY. WE WERE GOING TO LET ALL THE GRANDKIDS THAT COME HELP PAINT THE COOP BUT THE RAIN STOPPED US FROM GETTING STARTED WITH THE BOYS. MADDIE IS COMING THIS NEXT WEEKEND SO WE'LL HAVE HER START IF THERE IS TIME. SHARMON AND THE KIDS WERE COMING UP BUT WE WILL BE DOWN THERE SO THEIR TURN WILL HAVE TO WAIT. THE GRASS IS LOVING THE RAIN AND IS GREEN AND VERY TALL. IT HAS JUST BEEN TOO WET TO MOW. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THE PLANS FOR THE ARK ARE? WE HAVE THE GOATS AND THE CHICKENS READY.

Lazy summer days?

With warm weather comes longer day light hours and so much yard work. Just when I think we are done planting we decide that we need to plant something in just one more corner. Today it was a blueberry bush. Yesterday raspberry bushes and tomorrow---more corn, more berries. I guess we will never be through as now they have to be watered and weeded. I'm not complaining as it will all taste so good, but it does mean a busy fall. By the time we have time to enjoy the long days and nice weather it will be winter again. I posted two of the pictures Tonya sent of the boys end of school programs. Does anyone else have some pictures I can share? Jamie do you have one with your oboe or of the awards assembly? Sharel, Nate Josie, Jonathan, Jillian, Etahn, anyone? Oh I almost forgot Maddies kindergarten graduation picture.
